This seminar will show the continuity of Nazi-structures, the development of the “New Right” in West-Germany and the development after the reunification of East- and West-Germany in 1990. We will explain right wing codes and symbols and we will provide an overview about the current situation of the right extremist and xenophobic movement in Germany. In a further step the seminar will deal with questions such as how right-wing movements in Europe are connected to each other and why they are on the rise in Europe.

This seminar will give an overview on the history of the 1968 students movement and it’s relation to international solidarity. But how was the solidarity received by the movements in the global south? Was there a positive impact on the political and liberation movements in the colonized and post-colonized countries? And what about reciprocity?
Nowadays many people in Germany are involved in the self-organized “Willkommenskultur”-groups to help refugees and migrants. Hereby the refugees and migrants are often in the position to receive help and to learn how to integrate into mainstream society. Frequently their competences, knowledge and skills are not recognized and perceived as resources of the society. What can we do to overcome these paternalistic structures?

As a short introduction, the seminar will inform about the history of women´s movements in Germany and the reasons why they started to fight for equal rights, empowering and emancipation.
In the main part of the seminar will be space for exchange, discussion and knowledge sharing about own experiences with women´s movements in the different countries of origin of the participants and the role of women´s movement in social, political and economic change of societies. This dialogue of perspectives should also focus on the challenges of an intersectional perspective, that’s taking into account multiple systems of dominance that structure (not only) women’s lives and the course of women’s movements (like racism, heteronomativity, class structures, ablism etc.). This intersectional perspective was developed by women’s movement activists especially from the global south as a critique of the blind spots within western feminist perspectives.
Taking that critique into account we want to discuss together how solidarity among women’s movements in different contexts can be possible – without paternalistic gestures and without remaining an empty phrase.

Background of the project
“ Training For Nature” project was developed based on the fact that the world nowadays is facing very dramatic challenges caused by global warming, desertification and acid rain or atmospheric pollution which took the shape of an environmental crisis affecting the earth balance and having consequences as spread of tropical diseases, malnutrition, relocation and reunification of
refugees and immigrant families, housing and food challenges, disaster relief and changes to employment patterns. Unsustainable models of advancement, unequal power relations and unequal dissemination and use of resources, key to the current worldwide socio-economic system of neo-liberalism, worsen structural disparities and influence most poor and low-income individuals.
The main goal of the project is to increase the capacity of youth-related organizations in Europe to become more sustainable and environmentally oriented in their work. The training course offers to the participants a holistic understanding of the unity and interdependence of human society and the natural environment. At the same time, we will offer a series of tools to participants that will enable them to trigger learning processes within young people in relation with the action they can take to protect the environment and build a sustainable community.
More specific objectives are:
– To provide tools and methods to 25 youth workers from 7 countries in Europe to enable young people engage in more sustainable and environmentally friendly activities in their daily life.
– To create environmentally friendly attitudes among 25 youth workers in order to help young people commit to a sustainable lifestyle and make environmentally friendly changes in their daily behaviour.
– To stimulate the participants to act as “environment agents” in their own organization and regions.
– To create a networking framework that would enhance the organizational and professional development of the 7 partner organizations towards interventions focused on environment and sustainable development.
The project brings together 7 partner organization from all around Europe in Romania, in an environmentally friendly location. They will share good practice, experience new methods and explore new sides of an environmentally oriented type of intervention.
Target group and criteria
The participants of the project are envisioned to be youth workers or other practitioners active in the nongovernmental partner organizations who wish to design and implement environmentally oriented activities with the young people they are working with. Therefore, they can be social workers, project managers, volunteer coordinators, communications coordinators, psychologists, community
facilitators, etc.

Das Klimaschutz Projekt „Prima Klima in Weissensee“ startet im KuBiZ (Kultur- und Bildungszentrum Weißensee) mit zwei Kreativworkshops für alle Interessierte.
In diesem 1. Workshop möchten wir gemeinsam mit Euch ein Logo für das Projekt entwerfen (inklusive einer inhaltlichen Einführung in Grundlagen der Logo-Entwicklung), welches 2 Jahre lang auf jedem Papier und der Internetpräsenz des Projekts zu sehen sein wird.
Am 5.10. findet ein weiterer Workshop zum Thema Webblog statt. Es wäre super, wenn ihr an beiden Terminen teilnehmen wollt, es ist auch kein Problem nur an einem zu kommen.
Vor Ort haben wir 2-3 Computer, wenn möglich bringt auch gerne eigene Laptops o.ä. mit. Zur Logo Entwicklung möchten wir die Open Source Software Inkscape benutzen.

Following the title “Water is Life – Educational Approaches on Water and Sustainability”, we will try out educational approaches and methods for 10 days. We will discover and exchange methods which will enable the participants to cover the various dimensions (ecological, economic, social and political, human rights) of the topic “water & sustainability” in their educational day-to-day work. The training strongly focuses on getting to know different pedagogical approaches in a direct manner. Thus, the participants will have the opportunity to try out, evaluate and discuss a variety of methods: a simulation game, excursions and guided tours, nutrition based on a sustainability index, as well as other interactive & non-formal methods which are tied to intercultural, environmental and outdoor education. In addition, participants will be taught background and basic knowledge about water and sustainability.
The training is aimed at full-time and voluntary youth workers (32 participants) from Germany, Romania, Albania, Slovakia, Serbia, Tunisia, Finland and Italy, especially those who are invested in environmental education.

Ort: tagungswerk im Kubiz, Berlin Weißensee
Wir sind drei Kommunen, zwei aus Berlin und eine aus Brandenburg. In diesem Seminar wollen wir uns (auch spielerisch) folgenden Fragen nähern:
* Was macht Kommune mit mir? Wie verändert mich das?
* Eine Kasse – und das funktioniert?
* Entscheidungen treffen im Konsens?
* Geht im Kollektiv nix oder alles schief?
* Gemeinschaft leben ohne Hierachie?
* Die Kleinfamilie – Hort des letzten Glücks oder Beziehungssackgasse?
* Was bedeutet eigentlich „politische“ Kommune?
Wir haben zwar keine fertigen Antworten, aber mittlerweile viele Erfahrungen im kommunitären Miteinander gesammelt und als drei Gruppen und viele Individuen verschiedene Ansätze. Das Seminar richten sich an Leute, die Anregungen für ihre eigene weitere Lebensgestaltung suchen und Lust haben, die Kommunen kennen zu lernen und sich mit alternativen Lebensformen auseinander setzen wollen.
Besonders freuen wir uns über Menschen mit konkretem und praktischem Kommune Interesse.

Der Workshop findet im Rahmen des Klimaschutzprojekts „Prima Klima in Weissensee“ statt. Er ist offen für Erwachsene und kostenlos.

Während der Feier gibt es eine Präsentation mit Informationen über unser Klimaschutzprojekt „Prima Klima in Weißensee“, viel Infomaterial rund ums Thema Klimawandel/ Klimaschutz zum Mitnehmen und ein gegenseitiges Kennenlernen, sowie Getränke und Snacks.
Der Klimaschutz Infopoint im KuBiZ bietet Euch die kommenden 2 Jahre offene kostenlose Beratungen rund um das Thema Klimaschutz: Wie wir im Alltag
ohne Verzicht einen Beitrag leisten können, und wie dabei z.T. sogar noch Kosten eingespart werden können.
Ab dem 9.11.2017 öffnet der Klima-Infopoint für die Beratungen jeden Donnerstag von 16:00 – 18:30 Uhr.
Der genaue Raum wird ausgeschildert sein.
