We will learn, try out, discuss and evaluate a large variety of pedagogical approaches to deal with the European east-west history and it`s current consequences. To reflect the European history and the still existing stereotypes about „the east“ and „the west“ is an important part of political education and is contributing to a peaceful Europe in future.

In der öffentlichen Diskussion um Flüchtlinge wird selten thematisiert, dass die reichen Industrienationen – seit dem Kolonialismus – die Grundlagen für Flucht und Migration durch ihre Lebensstile auch selbst schaffen (z.B. durch Konsumverhalten, Rüstungsexporte, etc.). Im Seminar wird es um eine Analyse der Verantwortlichkeiten gehen, aber auch um unsere Handlungsmöglichkeiten für eine gerechtere Welt. Hierfür werden wir interaktive Methoden anwenden, die auch für die pädagogische Arbeit mit Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen übernommen werden können.

In diesem Workshop für Multiplikator_innen der Jugend-(bildungs-)arbeit vermitteln wir Grundwissen über die Rolle des Wassers in der Nahrungsmittelproduktion. In einer Mischung aus interaktiven Elementen und multimedialer Wissensvermittlung kommt auch der Spaß und der kulinarische Genuss nicht zu kurz.

„Weißsein“ stellt ein reales Machtverhältnis dar, das mit vielen Privilegien einher geht. In diesem Tageseminar werden wir Critical Whiteness Ansätze vorstellen, miteinander diskutieren und einige Methoden gemeinsam ausprobieren, die sich zur Bewusstwerdung und Auseinandersetzung mit eigenen Privilegien eignen.

This double training course promotes pedagogical approaches in dealing with challenges and opportunities in multicultural and pluralistic societies and empowers the participants to work on reflective competences and tools for social change. We will learn, try out, discuss and evaluate a large variety of pedagogical approaches to deal with the topics of migration, anti-racist education, stereotypes, intercultural dialogue and conflict management.

The last years brought up a big variety of intergenerational projects. The challenge of changing family structures, different life journeys and backgrounds brought up a great demand and interest for social and community orientated living-models apart from isolated small family living and old age homes. More and more people took in hand their future and developed intergenerational community projects. Berlin as a traditional hotspot for the development of new living models can show a lot of different ways how groups started, developed and accomplished their visions. In this 5 days course we will give attention to the activists, their experience and advice. We will visit different intergenerational community housing projects and we will have the chance to talk to the residents and the ones who helped them to establish their plans. We will hear and learn about the process of self-organisation, financial, legal and social issues and we will get in contact with professionals who support groups.
For organisations interested in participating it’s possible to apply for a Erasmus+ funding for KA1 mobility.

Wir wollen gemeinsam den Lehmofen im KuBiZ-Garten neu aufbauen. Den alten defekten Ofen haben wir bereits in der vergangen Woche abgerissen und die Bodenplatte repariert. Nun werden wir beginnen, den neuen Ofen aufzubauen. Dazu braucht es viele fleißige Hände, die Lust haben einen Einblick in den Aufbau eines (Pizza-) Lehmofens zu bekommen.
Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos. Eine vorherige Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

Intersektionalität beleuchtet das Zusammenwirkungen unterschiedlicher Formen von Diskriminierung (und Privilegierung), wie Rassismus, Sexismus, Klassismus. In diesem Seminar werden wir interaktive Methoden der politischen Bildungsarbeit ausprobieren, die diese Verflechtungen bewusst machen wollen.

This seminar focuses on the development and influences of social movements after the peak point of the world wide protests in 1968s. As an introduction we will provide an overview of the diversity of new social movements in this time, related to: Gay-Lesbians, Ecology, Peace as well as the Anti-nuclear movement and the “One World” and Anti-imperialist movement. All these movements focus on the change of society to reach a situation with less discrimination of minorities, to fight for equal rights and for the right to live in a healthy environment and without war.
Furthermore we will look on the own experiences of the workshop-participants with social movements in different countries.
